Reporting Rhino Crashes

When Rhino crashes, you'll get a spinning beach ball for a little while, and eventually this dialog will appear:

Rhino has a crash reporter built into the application, but you do not invoke it with the Report... button on this dialog. Clicking the Report... button will send a report to Apple, not to us, and we will never see that crash report.

To send a crash report to McNeel, click the Reopen button on this dialog. This will restart Rhino. Rhino detects that it crashed the previous time it was run, and displays the following dialog:

Please fill in a description of what you were doing when Rhino crashed so that we can duplicate your problem and fix it.

This is a very simple-minded crash reporter. It just creates an email message and sends the crash report via email to McNeel and Associates. We need to ask for your name and email address so that we can create a valid email message from you. The email message will contain just the information you see in the Problem and System Information box, plus your description of the problem. You can review the contents of Problem and System Information field to see what information is sent to McNeel.

Click the Send to McNeel button to send the email crash report to us. Click Cancel if you do not wish to send a crash report to us. In either case, Rhino will finish launching and you will be able to use Rhino.
